St. Angela's overcame a strong Crescent team to win the Munster Senior Cup at Garryduff today. It was a fantastic day at Garryduff, with great support from both schools filling the stand.

CI provided four players to the victorius St. Angela's squad: Ruby Lehane, Clodagh Sweeney, Nicole Clarke, and Rebecca Minogue.

The game was a thriller, with a very high standard of hockey on display. There were emotional scenes at the final whistle as St. Angela's absorbed a lot of pressure in the fourth quarter and defended a series of short corners to close out a one nil win. It was the first time Angela's had won the cup in over fifty years.
